IN HARMONY WITH NATURE

We bring a holistic mindset across all that we do from seed to sip and everything around it. At the farm we are bursting with wildlife and we believe nurturing it makes our cider all the sweeter.

NATURE & BIODIVERSITY

OVER 3,800 TREES PLANTED SO FAR.

We couldn’t make the quality cider we do if it wasn’t for all that nature provides us, so we nurture and maintain a multitude of rich habitats for the local wildlife to thrive!

Our apples can only thrive if the environment around them does too, which is why we maintain our woodland whilst leaving space for nature: letting hedgerows, grass and wildflowers grow.

DEVELOPING OUR WETLAND HABITAT

Being Cornish we have a great affinity to the sea and the rivers that connect us to it.

We use water from our local spring to float our apples into our press.

To give back, we have created a wetland providing a reed bed habitat for all sorts of critters, including: dragonflies, damselflies, frogs, toad, newts, the occasional deer and nesting duck.

GIVING HOMES TO BEES AND SWALLOWS

One of our biggest allies are the hard working bees who pollinate our apple trees; without them there would be no cider. We plant wildflowers and build boxes to give them food and shelter.

And let's not forget our emblem, the swallow! They arrive every year as the apples start to blossom. We give a safe home to them and other avian friends to raise their young in our outbuilding.

MEET THE FOUNDER

“Doing simple thing to natural ingredients in a way that is kind to the environment”

Our Founder, Andy Atkinson's, mission was to make juices and ciders by “doing simple things, to natural ingredients in a way that is kind to the environment”. We have never lost that spirit of working with our amazing Cornish nature rather than taking from it.

CIDER MAKING

APPLE WASTE GETS TURNED INTO GREEN ENERGY

We find the best results when working with nature. Our open sided barns allow the sea breeze to naturally cool our fermentation tanks, saving energy and making it all the more Cornish crafted.

We always look to use as little as possible and get the most out of every ounce of material we use:

 - Our waste apple pulp gets made into green energy heating local homes.
 - Zero waste goes to landfill, always reducing, reusing, recycling.

All of our packaging is recyclable and we always looking to increase the amount of recycled materials we use.

COMMUNITY

70 TONNES OF FRUIT RESCUED EACH YEAR!

A healthy ecosystem is only as strong as the local community that live in it, and so our relationship with our neighbours underpins everything we do.

We work closely with the Royal Duchy Estate that our cider farm sits within, collaborating on nature restoration and land management.

Our local apple scheme accepts apples from the local community, otherwise going to waste, saving 70 tonnes of fruit a year.

The team head down to the coast to take part in a beach clean, removing plastics and other litter from the shore.
