Barry retires after 23 years at Westnorth Manor Farm

After 23 years working at Cornish Orchards, there are many great memories that have been made and shared with Barry Dodge who has retired after 23 years of working at Westnorth Manor Farm.

Barry has worked at Westnorth Manor Farm since before Cornish Orchards was established as a cider making company, doing everything from helping with the farming side of things back when it was a dairy farm, to the maintenance of the current site and equipment.

No one knows the farm or how to use farming equipment better than Barry and that is truly a reflection of what a great person he is to have around and how much we are all going to miss him.

There have been many great things that Barry has been involved in such as helping to get Westnorth Manor Farm to the production site it is now. Helping make way and move the new cider tanks onto site, general maintenance around the site, helping to keep the Orchards trim and tidy, maintaining and fixing the equipment, helping the team with getting equipment and stock to and from events, building bonfires and his latest triumph of building rafts that hold a team of 14.

Barry can really put his hands to anything. His welding skills are somewhat impressive. His latest project included building a raft from welding the structure to creating a fully floating bar on water, that was used by Cornish Orchards to compete in the Looe Raft Race getting a team of 14 adults across the finish line with nothing but smiles across their faces.

There have been many memories made with Barry which we will all cherish. We wish Barry a very happy and well-deserved retirement.
