We're back as the official cider partner for Boardmasters 2018

This year we are at Boardmasters 2018, the UK’s biggest surf and music festival, as their official cider partner!

At Boardmasters you can get immersed in five full days of professional surfing and extreme sports, chill out listening to amazing headline acts on the main stage whilst soaking up some of the best coastline views Cornwall’s North Coast has to offer.

Cornish Orchards will be surf side at Fistral Beach from Wednesday 8th August with one of our three cider bars that will be located around both festival sites. A few members from our team will be going around with samples on the beach for people to taste. You can find our Blush and Gold draught cider on the majority of bars at the festival, but if you want a real Cornish Orchards experience, head to one of our wooden cider bars where you can sit amongst the hay bales and apple trees, chilling with a pint of cider in hand. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Our big cider bar will be located at Watergate which is open to the public from Thursday 9th August. Located right next to the main stage, it is the perfect location to sit amongst the apple trees, chilling listening to the amazing line up that this year has to offer. We will have some live music acts that you can catch here at the Cider Bar, last year included local artist Alex Dobson.

New for this year is our new Dry cider which is only available from one of our wooden Cider bars. There will also be a third bar selling our cider in cans which will be located next to the Keg and Pasty at Watergate.

Doing our bit for the environment

This year we are working with VisionNine, organisers of Boardmasters, who have been working with Surfers Against Sewage to help the environment by reducing the amount of plastic waste produced at the festival. We have commissioned reusable cups to serve our pints throughout the festival to help do our bit and protect the environment.

Protecting the environment is a highly regarded objective at Cornish Orchards. From our current waste water treatment facility that is being installed, to the fact that each year we strive towards the reduction of waste on the farm which we now have less than 1% waste produced each year.

Hoping that the weather remains on our side, we are sure that this year is going to be another successful year for Cornish Orchards down on the North Coast.
