GOLD AWARD FOR OUR GOLD CIDER

GOLD AWARD FOR OUR GOLD CIDER

Craft cider maker Cornish Orchards has picked up two medals in the prestigious International Cider Awards. Cornish Orchards’ flagship Gold Cider was awarded Gold, while the Heritage Cider, made with traditional Cornish apple varieties, won Bronze.

The competition forms part of the International Brewing Awards, which are often dubbed ‘the Oscars of the brewing industry’ and are judged in style-based categories, with both Cornish Orchards entries successful in the Cider Apple Class – Medium. They have not only been recognised for their fantastic flavour, but also their appeal to an international market of cider drinkers.

Since its launch in 2003, as the first cider made at Westnorth Manor Farm by business founder Andy Atkinson, Cornish Orchards Gold Cider has become a firm favourite among cider lovers all over the world – you can even enjoy a pint of it in Canada! The refreshing cider with a light Champagne sparkle and fruity apple tones was developed from the original ‘Black & Gold Cider’, with a draught offering introduced in Spring 2011.

Head Cider Maker Chris Newton was delighted with Cornish Orchards’ success at the awards, saying: “We know we make outstanding craft ciders, but it’s fantastic to be recognised by such a respected panel of judges too. These awards make all the hard work worthwhile and are a credit to the whole Cornish Orchards team.”

Look out for the Gold Award on all our Gold cider bottles from now on!
