You can probably tell
by the infrequency of news being posted on the website that we are still
extremely busy. I don't know where the
past two years have gone! The sales of
apple juice and cider are continuing to grow and we have had even more success
in gaining prizes.
We attended the Cider
DeCider launch for Celebration of Food at Darts Farm in September 2009, where
Cornish Orchards Organic Cider won the Best for Weddings Award and the Black
and Gold Pear Cider won the Best Easy Drinking Award.
Cornish Orchard's
Discovery and Ben's Red Fresh and Fruity Apple Juice won Gold at the Taste of
the West awards. It's now apple harvest
pressing time and it's always exciting to taste the new season's apple juice as
it flows straight from the press.
We're so pleased to
congratulate Jon, our cidermaker, on the quality of this year's cider. It has been exceptional. The Blush and the
new Organic both achieved Gold in the Taste of the West Food and Drink Awards. Our new Orchard Cider, which is a joint
venture with Sharp's Brewery, has been so popular that it had to be restricted
to selected outlets throughout the county.
We are endeavoring to ensure that we increase our production this season
to match the demand.
We will soon be
approaching the Festive Season and will once again have our Wassail - a fruity
punch, Mulled Apple Juice and gift packs available which make fantastic
